FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our daycare. Can't find the answer? Ask us directly.

Is my child safe here?

Every caregiver passes a full background check under California licensing requirements, plus certification in pediatric CPR/First Aid and mandated reporter training. We're licensed by the State of California (License #343626454).

What's your caregiver-to-child ratio?

No more than 5 children per caregiver — well below California's state maximum. That means your child is seen, not just supervised, all day long.

What's included in tuition — any hidden fees?

One price, nothing extra: meals, learning materials, art supplies, outdoor equipment, and daily photo updates in your personal App — all included. No registration fees, no surprise charges.

What's a typical day like — including if my child feels unwell?

Your child's day is structured but never rigid: circle time, sensory play, art, outdoor time, storytime, and music — tailored to their age. We provide three full hot meals every day (without any sugary snacks!) — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — planned with a licensed dietitian. After lunch, a quiet rest period follows their own natural rhythm, with their own cot and blanket. We also take health seriously every day — toys and surfaces are sanitized regularly as a preventive routine, not just a response. If your child feels unwell, we isolate them with a dedicated caregiver right away, call you immediately, and follow California licensing protocol for emergency care if needed.

What are your hours of operation?

8 AM–6 PM, Monday–Friday. Need extended care? We offer additional hours for families who need more flexibility — just ask.

Do you accept subsidies?

Yes — we accept CalWORKs and Child Action for Sacramento County families, and PCOE subsidies for Placer County families.

How do I enroll — and how soon can we start?

Fill out the form below — we'll reach out within one business day to check availability and set up your visit. No payment, no pressure, just a conversation.

Can I schedule a tour before enrolling?

Absolutely! We encourage every family to visit, meet the teachers and explore the classrooms before making a decision. Tours are free and take about 20 minutes.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Polly. Founder & Director.

I spent 11 years in education, the last 5 in daycares — and I opened my own because I saw too much. Kids who weren't really heard. Parents who got vague answers instead of the truth about their child's day. I wanted something different. My background is in philology, which is why I care so much about how kids actually pick up language — I speak Russian and English fluently myself, and our bilingual program is built around how children really learn, not a schedule. I'm also finishing a Stanford program in child nutrition right now, because meals shouldn't be an afterthought either. Every child here is someone's whole world. I make sure they're actually seen — and that you always know what's really going on.
